Description

Union Pub, situated conveniently across from Sahlen Field, offers a unique atmosphere, blending historical charm with an inviting social vibe. While some patrons rave about the exceptional service, friendly staff, and delicious food—highlighting flavorful burgers, crispy fries, and standout wings—others share troubling experiences of disappointing dishes and reservation mishaps. Concerns over inconsistent food quality, pricing discrepancies, and unfulfilled bookings create a dichotomy in reviews. Despite the mixed feedback, enthusiastic diners appreciate the lively environment that makes Union Pub a suitable stop for sports fans seeking pre- or post-game nourishment.

I enjoyed dining at this restaurant located in the heart of Buffalo. The prix des bacons dish was fantastic, and they offer a decent selection of beers, including local brews. The service was friendly and efficient, and the prices were affordable. I highly recommend this place.

My experience at this restaurant was disappointing. The first drink I had tasted like it was the leftover dregs from the bottom of the barrel. I ordered the house burger and fries, but was disappointed to find that the burger was ruined by a thick layer of melted cheese. The fries were greasy and soggy. The second drink I had was okay. However, I was unhappy to discover that they overcharged me for the burger, which was listed as $14.95 on the menu but came out to $15.95 on the bill. The price of the pints, at $7 each, also seemed quite expensive compared to what I had paid at a similar establishment the night before. Overall, I was not satisfied with my dining experience at this restaurant.

I heard that this restaurant serves large wings, so I thought it would be cool to order 20 wings each for me and my friend. However, when we received our order, the wings were cold and not appetizing. We would not have ordered them if we had known. Additionally, we had an issue with a Caucasian employee behind the bar who seemed reluctant to serve us. The wings were supposed to be saucy, but they were all dry. We felt uncomfortable as young African Americans in the restaurant. They made jokes about us possibly not paying for our meal in May 2022. Overall, it was not worth it.

I ordered French fries and fried pickles, but I was really disappointed. The food wasn't prepared properly, and I had to send it back. The bartender insisted the fries were fresh, but when they remade the fried pickles, they still didn’t meet my expectations. I ended up leaving the uneaten food on the bar and left feeling unsatisfied. Spending $15 on such a mediocre meal just wasn’t worth it.

I visited this restaurant and was quite disappointed with my experience. The first pint I ordered didn’t taste right; it seemed like leftover remnants from the barrel. I opted for the house burger and fries, but the burger was overwhelmed by an excessive amount of cream cheese. The fries were greasy and soggy. The second pint I had was decent, but the situation only worsened when I noticed that I was overcharged—while the menu listed the burger at $14.95, my bill reflected a charge of $15.95. Additionally, the pints at $7 each felt overpriced compared to the $5.50 I paid at a similar bar the night before.
