We were seated on the patio which my guests liked very much,but the inside is quite nice too. I admit I ordered the same thing as before pasta with broccoli,red peppers and onions dressed perfectly) because I don't eat meat and it was delicious. My 2 guests were very happy with their food as well. For dessert I had the strawberry rhubarb pie while my guests split an ice cream pie. Also very good. The service was excellent,very friendly and professional. So I have been there twice,undisappointed twice, The Phoenix is a keeper in my book.

I... read more Went to a Yelp event on Amherst Street in Buffalo so I looked for a restaurant close by. The Phoenix was only a couple businesses away and had great reviews. I ordered their Fish Fry and my wife ordered their burger with a side salad instead of fries. I started with their Black Bean Soup. Delicious!! My wife had their Bang Bang Shrimp. Four large shrimp in a delicious spicy sauce. My fish fry was the best I've had in Buffalo. Crisp, delicious batter and a large fresh fish inside. Served with some terrific FF , coleslaw and macaroni salad. My wife loved her burger and salad. We also had their Watermelon Martini. Yum They have a nice outdoor seating area and a cute bar like atmosphere inside. Service was spot on . Will definitely put this as one of my favorites!!!
