Was Sue E at Ray's a mag?
This is a wonderful venue for a small reception or gathering. They effortlessly hosted my daughter's baby shower, which had 55 guests. The food was excellent, and both the alcoholic and nonalcoholic punches were delicious. The room was spacious and spotless. We had a fantastic time, thanks to the attentive and friendly service. I would definitely consider booking with them again! The prices were quite reasonable, too... View all feedback.
What Pamela K dislikes about Ray's:
I didn't actually eat in the restaurant, but we had takeout. We have eaten there before and had takeout many times. Recently the food seems to have gone down hill. They used to give generous portions, and the food was really good. Lately, not so much the food has really been scaled back, definitely don't feel like your getting what you're paying for. As for food quality, not so good. Dad had breaded fish and it was t... View all feedback.

Sweet Lucifer, these other reviews must be for catering. They are open on Fridays for dine in; don 't go! (I rated it a one, my friend a two. I felt bad for this place so I rounded the average of 1.5 up. The food is over cooked and b-l-a-n-d. Never have I fought so hard to keep a carrot slice on my fork; it was so mushy it was a wonder it kept its shape. (As I write this review of such a miserable place, I continue to wait for the waitress to give us change. Back to the food. Disgusting. Potato pancakes? More like glue and dehydrated potato flakes; stress on the glue. Anything that is a salad (in the American sense was one part mayonnaise and one part of the rest of the food. I can honestly say that I ate my food with a grimace on my face. What the Sam hell were the other reviewers eating?! ....I knocked the rating back down to one star. ...still no change... What the

Had our funeral brunch there. It was simply embarrassing. The food was terrible and looked disgusting. Vegetables were discolored and watered down. The staff was rude and it felt as if we were bothering them. Could not pay me to go back after my experience!
We had our wedding reception there years ago, when the old owners had it. Recently, I read that the restaurant changed hands and the new owners were not changing anything. We entered, and it hadn't changed in 45 years. We opted for the buffet, but a woman had gone up to the bread and picked up every piece and put it back. We told the server, she ignored what we told her, and told her we wanted bread from the kitchen, but who knows how it was stored there. Food was bland, soda mixture not right, too sweet. They had closed off the back part of the room to make it feel cramped. There was a table with children playing on it, must have been staffs, There was also a man sitting at the next table, no food or drink, just staring at us.....creepy. Then when we left, there was some woman outside asking if we were the owners........ Sorry Rays.....close up now, give me my good memories
I went to a funeral brunch at Ray 's and I have to say I was extremely disappointed. Even though more people were there than they had set the tables for, they did not want to accommodate the family by setting up one more table. We were told to sit at an empty place even though we wouldn 't be with people we knew well..... that we could visit with them after the meal. The meal was served late. No drinks were on the tables just some plastic cups and a couple pitchers of water on a table near the entrance we had to serve ourselves. They brought out a pitcher of beer and sprite and a 2 carafes of wine, which someone brought to their table didn 't put back onto the common table by the entrance. They brought out plates of small pieces of sweets for dessert, but no plate to put them on or utensils to eat them with, and they left our dirty dinner plates on the table I guess we were supposed to use our dinner plates with pork chop chicken bones on them) for dessert...... The tablecloth consisted of 2 sheets of paper torn off of a roll, overlapping in the middle. Then when we were barley finished eating they came in announced that 3 people had to move their cars from in front of the building parked legally on the street) because some workers needed to be there we were in their way. I definitely will NOT ever have a function there or recommend them to anyone. Judie H
Ray's Restaurant offers a nostalgic Polish dining experience with a loyal customer base praising its authentic dishes, generous portions, and friendly service. Fans highlight the Friday night buffet, homemade specialties, and accommodating event hosting, like baby showers. However, recent feedback reveals a decline in food quality and portion sizes, with several guests expressing disappointment over bland flavors, tough fish, and poor event management. Some reported unfriendly staff and outdated ambiance dampening the experience. While Ray’s remains a cherished spot for many, inconsistencies suggest it may be struggling to maintain its former high standards.

The best homemade Polish food I’ve ever tasted! I've attended numerous funeral luncheons at Rays and have also had their catering delivered to my home. It's one of my favorite dining spots! Their Friday night buffet is outstanding, featuring all of my favorite Polish dishes! The restaurant is clean, and the staff is friendly. I highly recommend Rays Catering!
I don’t care what anyone else says—no one in Buffalo does Polish food better than Ray's. It's simply the best! The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is clean and relaxed. I absolutely love Ray's!
Very good atmosphere and food. Excellent for people of Polish background. Very nice wait staff and back of house.
