What Anonym dislikes about Providence Social:
This was my first time at Providence Social, I love the outside seating. The complimentary apple fritter waffles were amazing!!! We ordered the huevos rancheros, it was really good, but I wish it came with the black beans as starting on the menu. We asked the waitress, she went to check with the chef and came back but didn't answer our question. She just asked us if everything was good and if we needed anything else.... View all feedback.
I've been here a few times, and it overall was good. I have had brunch on a Sunday and sat in the outdoor patio which was so enjoyable! The food was great, service was great, overall a really enjoyable time. I've also sat inside with a large group of friends and again the meal was great, good service, we stayed for quite a while without them getting annoyed. Great time. I just recently went, after they announced they were closing and I was excited they were still open. My sister and I went and we got seated right away inside. The service was okay, but the menu was on a hand written sheet with hardly any options. So we both opted for the French toast and sausage classic meal can't really go wrong on. But some how it did. The sausage wasn't good at all, and the French toast didn't taste good either. Not sure if they stayed open to use up the rest of the food they had before closing!? I'm not sure if they are still open or not, but it was a bummer after the few good experiences I've had. I'd probably go back once more if they are still open and give them another shot.
If I could put 0 stars I would! My friends and I always support Providence Social and we loved the bottomless mimosa option. However we came here for a birthday celebration and this is what we were served. We asked the waitress is this how the food is suppose to look after waiting a hour for our food and she said yes our food just looks like that (I 'm really upset I didn 't get a picture of the burnt waffle). As stated above my friends and I have came here PLENTY of times and we were NEVER this disappointed! We asked to speak to the manager and the waitress came back and said she 's too busy to speak to y 'all right now so either you can wait for her or pay for your food with 25% off . We said we would wait for the manager because we wanted to show her how our food looked. The waitress then aggressively started to pile all of our food up and took it to the back, she then returned with separate checks. The manager never came to the back to speak with us so one person from our party went to the front to speak with the manager and she was rude and belligerent. We were asking to just pay for our drinks since no one ate and our food was taken away from us aggressively by staff. The manager was getting aggressive which cause us to react the same way we requested the police be called and the staff was being very rude so we all stepped outside to wait for the police! While outside we were approached by the manager and some by standers aggressively they were taking pictures and yelling at us and the cops haven 't arrived! Majority of the party pulled out of the parking lot and went around the corner to wait for the cops to come to prevent further conflict. One person from the party stayed back to let us know when the police came. Once the police came the person from the party who stayed back spoke to the police and they were very understanding. We all then came back one couple at a time to prevent conflict and paid our bill with the police there. A little compassion goes a long way and you lost so many customers and blessings from this one encounter. I truly hope you learn from this and even if you are short staffed that doesn 't mean take your frustrations out on your customers. You could have politely denied our reservations and we would 've went elsewhere! I wish you the best of luck with your business!
I’m from New Orleans and travel extensively for work both domestic and internationally. This is one of my favorite places I’ve ever been. The service and atmosphere is amazing and the food is even better. The owner Liz touch’s each customer, remembers the regulars and has a personality everyone loves along with her entire staff. If you are ever in the Buffalo area and looking for a great brunch with bottomless mimosas you have got to stop. You won’t be disappointed!
I heard such hype about the place, so going in I had a bit higher expectation . Sadly it wasn't anything out of the ordinary brunch. The house made chicken sausage was very average. French toast came with preserve fruit not what I was expecting. Again I really wish I could say it was unbelievable but I can.
