Ballyhoo
4.5 / 5 (3306 reviews)

Description

Ballyhoo presents a mix of experiences that highlight both its culinary delights and significant service shortcomings. While the bar offers a stellar selection of cocktails and house-made sausages, paired with a lively atmosphere and attentive staff, several patrons have encountered disappointing interactions, particularly regarding customer service and treatment of guests. Notable dishes, like the short rib sausage and classic cocktails, have garnered praise, making it a culinary gem in downtown Buffalo. However, for some, unwelcoming behavior has overshadowed their visits, leaving them reluctant to return. Overall, Ballyhoo serves up both tantalizing flavors and a phalanx of mixed reviews.

I always have a great experience with the cocktails at Ballyhoo, and my recent visit was no exception. In my opinion, it’s one of the best bars in town, offering reasonably priced drinks and outstanding customer service. The bar space isn't very large, but it's definitely worth a visit. They do have a limited food menu, though I haven't had the chance to try any dishes yet.

Charming bar located near the KeyBank Center, serving delicious hotdogs that go beyond the usual ketchup and mustard. I highly recommend visiting multiple times to sample all their offerings. Be sure to try the mac and cheese – it’s rich, creamy, and has a delightful hint of garlic and parmesan. I’d return just for that!

Good beer list, great cocktails and fantastic sausages. I had the short ribs sausage with kimchi that was delicious. A very unassuming bar with a good vibe and a good crowd.

Delicious sausage and Mac&Cheese side. If you are nearby, stop in for a great sandwich
