This is the best Chinese buffet I've experienced in the USA when it comes to food. The Egg Foo Young was excellent, and the hibachi-grilled dish I had, which included meat, noodles, snow peas, garlic, and teriyaki, was fantastic. The variety of seafood options was impressive as well. I highly recommend this restaurant. The prices for weekday lunch are very reasonable too. On a Friday evening visit, the owner offered... What Paula Schofield dislikes about Amherst Buffet:
The hot foods were cold, and most of the dishes were dried out and too tough to chew. The highlight of the buffet was the fried fish, but even that was served cold. The crab legs were so small that it wasn't worth the effort to crack them open. The beef pepper steak was cold and tough, just like the General Tso's chicken and pepper chicken. The lo mein was clumpy, and the rice was dry. My husband wanted to go to Burg... View all feedback.

I believe this is one of the best Chinese buffets in the area. They offer a fantastic variety of dishes to choose from, including delicious Chinese food, fresh clams, oysters, and crab legs. There’s so much to enjoy! It’s definitely worth the price—only $14.99, with a 10% discount for seniors, and the lunch buffet is the same price, minus the seafood options. Overall, it's a great experience!
I absolutely love this place! The staff is friendly, the food is fantastic, and the prices are amazing.
Amherst Buffett is a good choice on nights when you want to eat and try some different things or if you are in the mood to eat a lot of food in one sitting. The waitresses are pleasant and the food is pretty fair. Mostly what you would expect from a buffet style meal. The dining room could use an update though and the parking is difficult at times. All in all it’s an ok experience and with the cost of the meal it makes it a good choice.
