The restaurant/theater is located in the historic city of san telmo and offers only 75 100 people in contrast to the usual huge tango “Palaces”, offered in buenos aires. no bad seats. shows are only on Friday and Saturday evening. Eat and drink reasonable. go and enjoy a show with the “Locals” they will not be disappointed!

If you want a small, intimate place for a tango show where you are not more than a few meters from the dancers, with a mix of incredible tango dance, talented m... read more If you want a small, intimate place for a tango show where you are not more than a few meters from the dancers, with a mix of incredible tango dance, talented musicians (the violinist was very good and the bandoneon player mesmerized me with his...skills) and some traditional vocals, all without breaking the bank (each 25 USD), I can highly recommend Taconeando. The show is all in Spanish, but pleasant, even if you don't speak the language. Most spectators were either locals or a mixture of other nations we were the only English speakers in place, and we, like most, did not come the meal before for only the show. You're not in a theater, but you're here not to see the footwork the architecture, are you? We booked through the concierge at our hotel and had a friendly reception and a great table. My only suggested improvement is that waiters put on the bills before the show is finished, and if you use a credit card with a PIN, this means disappearing the back to the card machine... so do this *after* the show has finished... Overall, we would recommend seeing talented artists in a simple, narrow environment!
