Every dish was remarkable in its own way, and the staff was clearly on top of what each dish consisted of. We sat by the kitchen to watch the magicians make this fantastic food, and had such a great time watching how intense they were in making each dish perfect. Then the wines. They are changing their wine list, so we were able to talk our way into trying some of the wines from the new list. Amazing! We had such a g... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Sucre:
Fui com meu marido e filho ao restaurante. Pedimos 3 pratos diferentes. Somente o ojo de bife estava gostoso. O pollo ao curry estava rançoso, paladar de terra e o risoto de carneiro não estava saboroso. Foi decepcionante... View all feedback.
All we ate was absolutely first. I had grilled sweet bread as an appetizer, it was crisp on the outside and juicy inside. Then an ossobuco risotto, absolutely perfect. They have a wide selection of grilled meat and as appetizers also the famous Argentinean empanadas.
Pandemic, I was regularly in this restaurant every time I was in town and was thrilled when they opened a branch in London. But that was at a price for the original. Last Friday I hosted a table of ten for a farewell dinner. It wasn't a disaster. The manager welcomed us enthusiastically and said he would take care of us and make sure it was better than London. He didn't and it wasn't. The service was painfully slow, the air conditioning struggled to cope with the open grill and boiling temperatures outside. Guests were reduced to dip hands in ice cups to cool off. Several complaints to improve it were ignored. The food when it finally arrived was good, but lukewarm. My wife felt sensitive after three hours, but despite Ssking for the bill several times, it took an age to come. Talk about a restaurant in the decline
It used to be a good restaurant, but the last couple of times kind of disappointed. Record presentation is average and service far from what it was before.
Every time we are in BA, we visit Sucre for dinner. Food was again very good, wine selection excellent we had an amazing red from Mendoza. However, this time the service was more moderate and less attentive. Maybe because there is a Monday night and only 5 table occupied, but hey, that should even give them the opportunity to spend more time with the guests.
I visited Sucre again one Sunday at noon with friends. I was surprised that even today they do not offer a physical menu, but the QR code menu. Apart from that oddity, the environment is very pleasant and the service is very good. We enjoyed very good cocktails and for starters we ordered fried empanadas, which were very tasty. As main courses, an Ojo de Bife, a chorizo steak and a risotto with ossobuco, and we shared a dessert with meringue and fruits whose name I do not remember. The food is excellent and it is always a pleasure to return. The price is in line with the level of the restaurant.
