DON'T GO THERE!!! Food is awful, service is nothing....creepy restaurant. You can't pay with cards. Really don't go there, better eat Mcdonalds!!!

With a high enough Trip Advisor rating and close proximity to our hostel, we decided to try La Clac for one of our group's birthday dinner. It was really disappointing. They offered us menus with English translations and two of the party ordered "chicken stuffed with bacon, broccoli, and a tomato sauce" - it sounded delicious!! However when it arrived, it was mashed sweet potatoes and other veg under a blanket of cheese- no meat to be found. To say it was like baby food is being kind. The waiter then proceeded to argue that the Spanish on the menu was correct, even if the English wasnt! The meals had to be sent back and it was another 40minutes before the correct dinner was served. In the meantime, my steak was served tough and cold and was a truly disappointing introduction to the famous Argentinian beef. What added insult to injury was charging us for three baskets of bread, which we had been nibbling on while waiting for our correct food. I won't be back!

Spectacular cost benefit. La Clac is not a very beautiful place, but it is very charming and cozy in its own way. We tried a pair of mini chorizos, and were happily surprised with what we had. The meat was very soft and tasty - it is also accompanied by baked potatoes and a simple salad, which improves the overall experience. The prices are very fair, and the tiramisu is super cheap. As of june 2016, 2 mini chorizos cost $270 and the tiramisu costs $45. Even though the chorizos are "mini", each of them serves a person very well. Make you sure you visit this place if you can!

This sort of restaurant probably seems a lot better after several glasses of wine and when it is very full. sadly, neither was the case when we visited. The place looks very grubby and in need of a clean up... photos and prints that had been sellotaped to the walls were peeling off and the 'theater' theme was very dated. The chair seat covers were filthy and stained. As it was almost empty there was no atmosphere (arrived at 8.30pm and left by 10.00). I ordered the prawn and cockle fettuccine but was unable to eat more than a couple of mouthfulls as it was too salty and too fishy. The other half has steak which was tough as old boots. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

I testing place decor wise though there are many like it in BA. Painfully slow service. Food not all that. Decent portions though and reasonable prices. House red quite drinkable expect to pay around 550 pesos for one course with wine.
