What Anonym dislikes about Cafe Proa:
The cafe is beautiful, with nice furniture and great views. Nicely presented, the food was tasty enough. However, the service was slow so just bring a bit more time than normal. View all feedback.
The view from the terrace is unique The cafe bar has unprofessional attention We waited 15 minutes to sit when the place was empty:
In fact, I was looking for a high culture and WiFi, away from the Disney-like La Boca tourist trap outside. I accidentally discovered Cafe Proa. It was a welcome discovery. Excellent freshly prepared food and good value. In addition, the terrace and the views of the old port are excellent. You can also go to the café without paying for the Art Centre.
We had lunch here while we toured LaBoca... it was a welcome relief from all hustle and bustle just down on the main square. The Cafe Proa is located on the top floor of the Foundacion Proa Museum... lovely windows and a magnificent terrace overlooking the...Docks and the Rio Plata. I had the menu Del dia, which was a Rigatoni and vegetable dish; my partner enjoyed his roasted ham and cheese sandwich. We decided to share the pears almond cake for dessert, you should try it! Twas delicious.
During a tour through La Boca we visited this restaurant on the top floor of the Fundacion Proa Museum. The guide during our English language journey through the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes had suggested the museum as another interesting website that my wife and... I would like to visit. There was an exhibition of Alexander Calder's work when we left. I chose the plato del dia, a generous pork chop Milanesa. After our meal we are so from the beautiful view of the Rio Plata that we do not go to see the Calders.
