Crowded place for the younger generation. My 16 & 18 year old daughters enjoyed it very much. Great onion rings & pizza. Service (as in most "young" hangouts) was a bit erratic, but OK.
Like many attempts to bring other foods into this BA food culture, Brands burgers and milkshakes falls short. I am sure they do their media lunas, milanesas and other typical BA foods just fine but the other stuff - not so good. The burgers appear and taste like "in-house" made, but they are obviously made by cooks who never eat actual burgers and management intent on charging too much for what they serve.Skip there salads, be ready to pay too much for burgers but go ahead and order their wonderful milkshakes. Can someone please tell me why ALL of BA insists on serving sauces in those horrible little rip packets?
Raising the bar for fusion cuisine in Palermo, Brands Burgers (and Pancakes) combines two unlikely food items, manages to win the hearts/bellies of a sizable portion of the expat population. Super-convenient Palermo Soho location means snagging a table on weekends is a real chore. Burgers...More
We went to Brands for a late afternoon snack, and what a disaster! Pancakes and coffee, we thought, what a treat. What a disappointment. We ordered 2 cafe con leche and an espresso along with 2 orders of pancakes and fries. About 45 min later, our food arrived (no drinks). The pancakes were very thin, crepe-style. Served cold and covered with about a quart of chocolate, caramel and other toppings, a mountain of toppings. It was a soggy mess. The fries were cold too. The coffee came about 15 min after the food was served. The coffee was also cold. The server agreed to remake the coffee, and 20 min later, we had hot coffee.I cannot remember a worse meal in Buenos Aires or more terrible service. Don't eat here!
