The steak was great, the wine excellent and the staff friendly. the menu was not extensive but the food and the service made up for the small menu. after a busy day it was a pleasure to eat in such a friendly place.
With the many good restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel, you may give it a miss. Prices considered on the high side when comparing with the quality of food served.
During a 3-week visit to Argentina and Chile with an overseas tour company, we started and ended our stay at this hotel, and two of the dinners included in our package were in this restaurant: 3 courses with a choice of 3 dishes for each course ----- the same ones on each occasion. It was all pretty standard stuff: soup, salad or something fishy for starter; beef, trout or pasta for main; gateaux, creme brule or ice-cream for dessert. It is a comfortable restaurant and the service was more than good, but the quality of the ingredients, their standard of preparation and presentation, and the overall joy of actually eating the stuff was no more than average. This contrasts with our experience of dining in-house at Melia Hotels in Spain where we hold the chain in high esteem. It is here that breakfast is served every morning, and in that sphere only an average rating is merited. I should add two caveats: firstly, I never saw an actual menu so I cannot tell whether the dishes we were offered were truly representative of their gastronomic repertoire and what they might have cost; secondly, the hotel was used by many other tour groups, something we never encountered when staying individually in Melia Hotels in Spain.
