In 1998 a cultural site was declared and subsequently re-established between January and June 2001. the wood, spiders and the skies were restored. the original floor was unrecoverable so that another was ordered to be built respecting the original colors and shapes. the facade, luckily it could be recovered in its entirety, keeping the original materials.

Wow. What a time trip for this restaurant since 1884. Like a time machine. Food, service and of course the environment take a different time. I had the Merlo Verdero. Menu looks like it didn't change in centuries. Hopefully this place can try to stay the same.
Fantastic and friendly service, very good food, great coffee in a beautiful old world location.
