The prix fixe menu is incredibly affordable compared to similar options in Budapest, and it is worth it. The “snack” course was mostly good, though the walnut cake was a bit sour and bland. However, the sauce that accompanied the sturgeon was incredible – I voraciously spooned every last drop into my mouth. The water buffalo with shaved smoked egg yolks was my favorite dish of the meal, and the veal was so tender I could easily pull apart with a fork. The only downside was the dessert, which I found unpalatable. Overall, Laurel is super worth it and offers an excellent dining experience. RACH Recommended Price per person: Ft 20,000+
