The coffee was delicious and so were the croissants. When we walked in 10 minutes after they operated, we thought we would be greeted by a fresh happy person. She had no other customers in the building. Maybe it’s a cultural difference. No one is overly warm like in other countries. Maybe it’s because we don’t speak the language. I am the kind of person that cleans up their table. I put my coffee cups back at the counter and she never acknowledged it. The prices were good $10.90 for 2 coffees and 2 croissants. The place is cute. They do add in 10%service fee. Meal type: Breakfast Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
Was not expecting to have such a good coffee at the affordable price! Cozy, calm atmosphere. Service was kind and attentive. One of the better Cafe Frei locations. :
I have visited this restaurant several times. The coffee specialties are excellent, and they are able to make some of them with plant-based milk (not all, though). My main issue is that the coffee is often served lukewarm, which can be disappointing. As for the cakes, the only vegan option I am aware of is the carrot cake, which is tasty but quite small and not necessarily worth the price. It would be great if they could introduce some new vegan options.
We tried a Jamaican and another specialty coffee at this place. The menu was not in English, and the staff was not very enthusiastic in answering our questions. The two coffees we ordered were okay, but they mostly tasted like regular lattes with added spices and sugar syrup... nothing special. If you have no other options, it's alright, but there are better coffee places out there.
