What Anonym dislikes about Level Up:
Mainly focusing on various types of burgers and pizza, as well as some veganized traditional Romainian dishes. Note that the inside seating is downstairs and much nicer, we didn't realize it until we were done Updated from previous review on 2022-07-19 View all feedback.

Delicious vegan Romanian food. Since I stopped eating meat, mici was off the menu for me and I missed the experience of mici, mustard and bread. We also had sarmale, also very well done. If you 're vegan, a lot of traditional Romanian food will not be suitable for you, but this place does the main dishes really well Meal type: Lunch Price per person: lei 40–60 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We loved this place. Sat on the street whilst the trams go past. Great food. Great beer. Love the fact that EVERYTHING is done in that one tiny kitchen. Chef was brilliant and listened to everything we wanted and it got really busy and yes we waited a tiny while but the food was delicious and the atmosphere worth everything with like-minded vegan minded people chilling out outside. Going back tonight. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: lei 100–120 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: VEGAN!
It was really great as a vegetarian tourist to be able to experience some traditional Romanian dishes since an awful lot of the most famous ones seem to be meat-based. The food was really tasty, portions were hearty and the lady who served us was super helpful and friendly. The menu also has loads of other veggie and vegan options like burgers and stuff for people who are just looking for standard vegan food. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: lei 60–80 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I'm in love with this place. It looks unassuming, but the food is incredible. You can get both fast food and pasta here, as well as traditional Romanian dishes in a vegan version. You have to, absolutely have to try the papanași; I went back for it three times. One of the best things I've ever eaten.
Level Up is one of the rare fully vegan restaurants offering Romanian classics, and it did not disappoint. I tried the VegFriptura Spare the Lamb, which was absolutely delicious. The seitan steak was exceptionally good, not dry or spongy at all. For dessert, I had the veganized version of the classic papanasi, which was also very tasty. The staff at Level Up is incredibly friendly, the atmosphere is pleasant, and the prices are very reasonable. This is a must-visit restaurant in Bucharest for anyone looking for fantastic vegan food. Highly recommended!
Super cozy place, with traditional vegan food. The owner was super friendly, and made good recommendations The desserts were something else. We came back the following day to eat there again Updated from previous review on 2024-05-27
If I could give 7 stars here, I would. Initially when I got to the restaurant, everything looked ordinary, but nothing is ordinary about the food. The beyond meat burger was well prepared and tasted absolutely phenomenal! I nearly fell off the chair when I had my first bite!
During our 3 day stay in Bucharest, we really enjoyed the food at Level up twice! The food, atmosphere, and service was great! I had the traditional stuffed cabbage with polenta and cashew cream and this dish was excellent and huge! I loved it so much I ate it both times! We were a group of 4 so we enjoyed the WOW pizza (too big for just one person), burgers, nuggets, traditional meititei, crispy fresh FF, papanasi traditional donuts with loads of cream and blueberry sauce. We loved the downstairs room and really chilled after a long day of touring. The servers were helpful and so happy to have us there.

Good variety of vegan dishes with options of veganized romanian traditional food as well. very friendly and welcoming staff. the papanași are awesome!! i'll definitely stop by to get some more when i'm in the area :
Let's start with the positive, the place is 100% vegan ! and the food and drinks were great! Their own burger can easily compeate with any regular restaurant vegan burger I've had. The traditional sarmale was a bit bland in comparison, but not bad and I guess not having eaten the meat version that it tastes like the traditional one. One more note on the sarmale, the portion is huge, could easily feed 2 people! Nevertheless we also wanted desserts, the salted caramel cheesecake was good, but the papanas was EXCELLENT! Having seen the non-vegan versions around the countryside I just had to try it. It's like a tough think: proper sourdough bread fried doughnut with whipped cream and blueberry jam. Fried on order it was still warm when I got it
Delicious vegan food, we tested some burgers and dessert and we loved them! Our favorites were the Smokey burger and the Papanasi. Also really nice and welcoming staff :D
Fully vegan restaurant, lots of burgers and pizza. The area is a bit fishy, but it did not bother me. We went for the pizza, but they could not make it that day, so we had to settle for burgers, unfortunately. Also lots of vegan desserts, I had a bounty and it was excellent!
Important: You can't pay by card, cash only(October 2022) Sarmale ultra romanesti delicious, love it! It's traditional Romanian dish but they made it vegetarian There are lots of pizza and burgers in menu, all vegetarian too. Place is pretty simple inside but food taste good so I can recommend. I wish we could pay by card though.

Really good vegan good. We ordered a pizza where the base was made home and the cheese was made by Cashews.... I can't believe how good it was!
The square is close to Unirii Square in the Jewish Quarter. My experience with Level up was amazing. My friend and I ordered two Romanesque traditional dishes. I ordered Sarmale with Mămăliguță, which is a very large part, I couldn't even finish it. My friend had Mici and a burger with fries and salad. The staff is beautiful and enthusiastic as the woman from the kitchen has seasoned our conversation with jokes and fun and made us feel like we were at home somehow. We'll be back.
Really great food and cool mood. We had three dishes, but one too fast ate to take a picture. The traditional Romanian cabbage dumplings were accepted. It came with polnta and white cream sauce it was perfect! I got the Mac case and it was great. Many times Mac cheese can be a bit too heavy on the Diaya or food yeast, but this was just fantastic! We also had the kababab type of meat (in the picture) and this is also a great one. We had 3 dishes between us 2 and it was just the perfect amount of food. Very recommended and will be back. The only negative is that it is in a sketchy neighborhood. I probably wouldn't go there late at night.
So I am Romanian and must really highlight their traditional Romanian dishes. Their sarmals are very authentic and the mici sausages (although not exactly like the original) are very tasteful and moist. In addition, her pizza dough is incredibly well made (crispy, but soft and very well seasoned) and the vegan 4 cheese pizza was delicious. The menu lists all ingredients for every meal that makes it very easy to recognize possible allergens and I liked their transparency with exactly what they put in their food. The cook/waitress is a very sweet Romanian lady who is obviously very passionate about vegan food and incredibly hospitable. The main room is in the basement and resembles a living room with its colorful furniture, soft lights and comfortable couches. There are even sockets and you can easily spend a few inconvenient hours working here. They are also a safe and accepting room for queer people (I came here with my girlfriend) and tourists (0% possibility to be cheated due to language barriers). Expect approximately 60-80 Lei per person updated by previous review on 2023-04-12
We had the 4 formaggi pizza, sarmale and miti and it was all amazing. The self-made cheese is very good. Staff was very friendly, music was good, it‘s a cute and queer-friendly placewe can 10/10 recommend it Updated from previous review on 2023-04-12
