Chez Toni is the go to place for many of the Lebanese living here. While there are some complaints that prices are on the high side, coming here in a group and ordering mezze (including for business dinners) has turned out to be one of the best quality price ratio in the city. With a little understanding of the menu and using the sharing concept (every dish in the middle and everyone tries everything) this can be a g... View all feedback.
Super!
Great for cozy meetings between friends!
Delicious food and great service. We love to hear it again and again for a quiet dinner
It is very, very, very tasty. Trust me. I had created my fingers, hands, with every bite like an Italian would do pleasure after tasting. It doesn't feel like being in a restaurant, more like a guest in Toni at home and he serves you his own favorite dishes, or those he learned from his family with whom he grew up. It is a good luck if you find a restaurant where the owner si also the main chef and the architect behind the recipes. You can feel his personal signature, personal way to do any dish. The restaurant is a pleasant surprise in an area known for expensive restaurants with chic outdoor facilities that have no depth. Here you will find a warm feeling of depth as the restaurant seems to be an extension of personality, personal taste and love for its traditional culinary flavors. When I went to dinner again, I served the classic lentil soup with some lemon juice. A simple dish, but very tasty and I could feel that good ingredients are used in this simple mix. I had lentil soups at many places in Bucharest and most where good, but this was the best so far. Then boiled chicken liver in pomegranate juice. Again very good ingredients, fresh. I think it was a real pomegranate. Many restaurants would simply use the filled, processed sauce/extract. It's a little goat from the true taste. Toni's pomegranate sauce impressed me. It was fresh, delicately sour and not too sweet overall to spoil the balance of taste. It was just perfect. The best pomegranate sauce I've tried so far after a few previous attempts at different places that didn't impressed me. I used the puffy Lebanese Pita bread together with the above plate, soaked it in the pomegranate sauce and it was amazing. I also had a falafel bite. Again it was amazing. I finished the sauce with Falafel and Pita. I combined the liver with a fresh mint and garlic yogurt. I filled the restaurant, they were full dishes, but I didn't feel it hard. So I had a good walk after it and enjoyed the rest of the day. I recommend this place, hope he will impress you.
Although the location has changed the food was as amazing as before and really friendly staff.
