This Chinese restaurant on the main line is absolutely fantastic! It has quickly become our go-to spot for both weekend dinners and special occasions. The food and selection are top-notch, and the service is outstanding. We can't wait to come back again and again! View all feedback.
What Judy H doesn't like about Jin Ding:
The restaurant was clean and pleasant, but the Chinese food was not as authentic as I had hoped. The service was very good and the food arrived promptly. It was a shame that it wasn't more authentic. View all feedback.
Nothing special. While the staff is nice and the restaurant is clean and well maintained, the food is just average. All three of my family?s meals were covered in an excessive amount what seems to be generic sauces. The noodles were both crispy and soggy but the rest was acceptable.
Nothing short of an amazing dining experience. Dim sum was very delicious. Pad Thai was a little aldente for me but still good. Beef teriyaki was tasty. The steamed pork buns were perfect. Pan fried pork and vegetable bun was delicious. First time trying the rice roll and it was very good. Kind of like a wide noodle stuffed with pork and delicious sauce. They kept our waters full the entire time, which is an extra star for me (if there was one)!
As someone with a lot of experience eating at various Asian restaurants, this place is fancy (for Chinese food). The decor is strikingly Asian but the music is definitely not. I really appreciated the football on the TV but it did feel out of place. The menu was impressive and the dim sum was great. The soup dumplings packed ample amounts of the correct flavor but were puny. Portions were well sized. Huge fan of their scallion pancakes (thin and crispy). I would highly recommend this restaurant for a night out or for people who want dim sum but don?t want to drive to Chinatown in Philly.
We had a great dining experience at the North Philly China Gourmet Main Restaurant. Although there was no cart service for dim sum, the food was excellent as it was made to order and served hot. We enjoyed dishes such as walnut shrimp, dim sum platter, vegetable spring rolls, buns, and dry chow fun. The atmosphere was calm and peaceful, with nice piano background music and a spacious interior. It was a different experience from the traditional dim sum cart service, but a pleasant change of pace. The kids also enjoyed the food and the environment. The AC was at a comfortable level, adding to the overall experience. Overall, it was a pleasant and comfortable suburban dining experience with delicious food.
This restaurant is more than perfect! We had the entire place to ourselves at 3pm on a Friday. The Asian-style food was excellent, and the staff was friendly and provided great service. The prices were reasonable considering the high quality of the meals, their presentation, and the overall atmosphere.
