Taco Crave - Bryan
Taco Crave
Description
Hidden in the Brazos Valley, this owner-driven taqueria delivers authentic, generous Tex‑Mex—standout tacos, bold green and red salsas, and clean facilities. Locals praise the friendly owner, fair prices, and hearty portions, but experiences vary: service, portioning and pricing can be inconsistent and meats occasionally overcooked or salty. A relaxed, casual spot perfect for groups and authentic taco cravings, it would benefit from steadier staff training to match its flavorful potential.

Taco Crave is a dream come true for taco enthusiasts. The tacos are filled with fresh, delicious ingredients, and they explode with flavor. As a passionate fan of tacos, I can confidently say that this spot serves some of the finest tacos in the area. The taste truly reflects authentic Mexican street food. I highly recommend it!
The restaurant offers a wonderful atmosphere, delicious food, and a budget-friendly menu that's easy to access. They serve tacos, burritos, and quesadillas at great prices.
I've been visiting this place for nearly eight months now, usually three times a week when I first discovered it. The customer service used to be excellent, but unfortunately, over the past few months, it has become extremely slow. I've had multiple occasions where I was the only customer in the restaurant, yet no one was at the counter to take my order. The staff seems to be preoccupied in the back and doesn’t notice when someone walks in. The shortest wait time I’ve experienced was 30 seconds, while the longest was a frustrating eight minutes. I only stayed because I wasn’t in a rush. Just recently, I had an experience where I stood at the counter for four minutes while who I believe is the owner was engaged in conversation with another table, while the staff was nowhere to be found. Now, about the food—it is very inconsistent. The flavor almost never stays the same. I used to enjoy the chicken and steak, but lately, they've been overcooked and tough, almost like rubber on some days. The brisket is also hit or miss; some days it’s quite tasty, and other days it’s unbearably salty. Additionally, there’s no consistency in pricing—some days I get charged for a drink, and other days I don’t. The same goes for avocado; sometimes it’s included, and other times, it's an extra charge. It seems like not all the staff are properly trained. One woman will generously fill your taco, bowl, or quesadilla, while another offers just tiny portions. As for the atmosphere, it’s generally relaxed and clean, but I find it unprofessional to see workers sitting around on their phones when customers walk in. There have been times when a staff member has spent an extra minute on their phone before attending to the counter. Some of us have places to be! Overall, I feel that the staff needs more comprehensive training to create a consistent experience. It’s frustrating not knowing if I’ll get charged extra or receive less food depending on which employee is at the counter.
