So I LOVE Chicken Express! Takes me back to my West Texas Days when my Daughter and I would make the trip from San Antonio to San Angelo, TX; always one of our Favorite stops for eating on the road! Update... done in now appears to be open finally. They finally hired someone to work the speaker at the drive thru that you can understand. Just paid $30 for 4 pieces of chicken, a soggy family fry, stale poppers, and a sweet tea. Chicken Express is ok. The fries are a lackluster but the chicken is usually good. Now in my lifetime and I've had a many chicken dinners from different places. what caught me on this I was doing an outside job and the wind was blowing and I smell chicken that was cooking . so on lunch I went over to this place I've never heard of called Chicken Express from the time that I walked in I was greeted by a nice friendly staff the service was quick the restaurant was clean and the Tea was absolutely delightful. thumbs way up I recommend this place to anyone who loves chicken!
Chicken is always delicious and juicy. Best iced tea in town.
One of my favorite guilty pleasures. Truly my favorite fried chicken place. The batter is light and crunchy, the meat super tender. I never liked chicken livers until I had theirs and I’m hooked-tip when ordering those, be prepared for a little longer wait as their cook time is a bit longer. It’s worth the wait for the livers though. Biscuits are incredible and fried okra can’t be beat. Sweet tea compliments the salty savoriness of the whole meal. Highly recommend!
