During the Covid pandemic, they have simplified their menu to highlight their strengths, especially the delicious brunch offerings. While there may not be vegan alternatives for the egg-based dishes, if you like eggs, you're definitely going to enjoy this place.

When I checked, I was simply met with a shrug and received no offer for a refund or even a refill on my coffee. I frequent this area often and really wanted to enjoy this place.

It had been more than a decade since I last visited the Village Cafe in downtown Bryan, and upon the suggestion of a colleague, we went there for lunch because... read more It had been more than a decade since I last visited the Village Cafe in downtown Bryan, and upon the suggestion of a colleague, we went there for lunch because it was convenient to where we were meeting. I found the food to be average. What I found particularly annoying was the sound; this is one of the loudest cafes I have visited in many years. It was so loud that it was difficult for us to carry on a decent conversation. And the noise came from the kitchen and members of the staff, not the other patrons. I think I'll pass on future suggestions to eat at the Village Cafe.
