What Gagan Suri doesn't like about Aggieland Wild Animal Safari:
A great escape for families! While the variety of animals is somewhat limited, featuring mainly deer along with a few ostriches, kangaroos, and a couple of other species, it still offers an enjoyable experience. View all feedback.
It was nice, but super overpriced. They charged us over $25 per ticket, and that's just to get in. Lettuce was $1 per leaf and feed cups ran at around $10. With all that said, they did have a good selection of animals (in the walk-through park rather than the drive-through segment). The most exotic ones present were probably the capybaras, otters, and kangaroos, otherwise they were all animals that exist in most zoos (giraffes, goats, etc). The drive-through safari was all common animals, like deer and cows. The aviary is cool, as you can walk through it and interact with the birds. All in all, it was a fun experience but I probably won't come back thanks to the price tag.
What an absolute BLAST! Friends suggested we go and check out this “safari place” this past Sunday 03/19.. I’m so glad we did. Not only was the staff nothing but helpful, they genuinely looked like they loved what they do.We purchased tickets and feed online.. which made everything easier and fast! I should have bought more feed at the gates because I wanted to feed ALL the animals.. but a bag can definitely get you more than half way through generously feeding the animals. From the start, zebras immediately ran up and stuck their heads in our car and greeted us the minute we started the driving portion of the facility. From there it seemed like the different type of animals that were on the grounds wouldn’t stop. Camels, emu, ostriches, caribou, deer, zebra, bison.. OH MY!!Don’t forget about their walkthrough portion of the trip. Could this place get any more amazing??!! THERES. A. GIRAFFE!!!Not only can you feed their giraffes with lettuce that come in a souvenir cup but to their tortoises. There’s more feed to buy for their petting zoo.. all without breaking the bank.Going overboard there’s even more animals.. foxes, kangaroos, parakeets, BABY OTTERS A HIPPOPOTAMUS!!This place continued to surprise me the longer we stayed and took everything in. A stop at the gift shop for some shirts, magnets and a slobber towel completed our first… but certainly not our last tome here at Aggieland!! What a great way to spend 2.5 hours on a Sunday. If it wasn’t because it was chilly I could had stayed longer!!This is a MUST if you are thinking about visiting!!
The BEST drive through safari! We took a three-day road trip to Houston and on the way back to Dallas we stopped by Aggieland. The park includes two areas- walk through abs drive through. Drive through has a good range of animals. Walk through has even better variety of animals including lemurs, snakes, otters, peacocks, hogs, monkeys, porcupine, and more. There’s also food truck and kids playground. Highly recommended!

We arrived early (just a few minutes before opening) in anticipation of a busy day. Unlike the park in Georgia, the crowd doesn't arrive when the park opens. The animals aren't as active either. My niece and nephews had plenty of animals to interact with. We opted to take one of their vehicles versus our own. It's a comfy ride and there's AC available. The best part was the walkabout since the kids could interact up close with the animals. Oh, and they loved George the giraffe and the playground.
Went on the weekend. Weather was nice and cool so made the outdoor portions of the trip much more enjoyable. The drive thru portion was fun, allowed interaction with some wildlife and provided great opportunity to feed and pet the animals that ventured close to the vehicles. Word of caution for visitors, the bison rubbed fairly aggressively against the vehicle in front of us and left some noticeable scuffs on the vehicle (obviously not an intention from the animal but a side effect of being so large) have heard stories of arms dangling from windows and animals pressing and leaning against causing some pain so ensure arms aren’t extending for long periods or when the animals are right next to you, having good situational awareness will make it a lot easier.
