Vankee - Brussels

Would give it 5* if I could! This restaurant has much more variety in its vegetarian/vegan menu than most other Chinese restaurants.....and it's delicious! I highly recommend the Kung Pao Tofu in particular, especially if you like peanuts and sweet and savoury dishes.

A must go to in Brussels for Chinese food. Many veg options. Large portions and friendly staff.

I did not know this was mainly a take out place, so I was a bit taken aback by the empty tiled entry/waiting space. There are two tables if you do want to eat in, but it feels like you 're sitting on display. The veggie/vegan menu was pretty extensive, which was a big plus. One of the dishes we picked was Mapo tofu and it basically had no (sechuan) pepper or spicyness at all with was really odd. Same for the other dish, that had 2 chilis next to it on the menu. Food is tasty enough, but really catered to 'Belgian taste '. Would only recommend for take out and if you like your food surprisingly unspicy. Updated from previous review on 2023-07-23
