I never leave reviews, but I was thinking about cancelling after reading everyone else's but I'm glad I didn't the service was actually amazing especially by Belgian standards, they swapped out a food allergy and brought a birthday dessert, last minute. food was great, it is pricey if you add drinks but worth a special occasion. What User doesn't like about Humphrey Chez Pias:
Pretty disappointed. Although the table was booked days before and confirmed even this morning, we got a call from the restaurant announcing the same day they cancelled it because they organised an event. Suddenly. Not really professional. A pity as last visit was great View all feedback.
Our visit was purely out of luck since we didn’t have any reservations. We thought the place was closed because it was all dark inside but because they were having an intimate tasting menu for dinner. We were welcomed warmly by a lovely lad wearing black thick glasses and pointed us to our seats (meaning even without reservations, we got in! . The place was very scenic at night with all their lights while Chef Glen himself prepares the food by an open kitchen. It’s all freshly cooked and all you can taste is heaven. Another stroke of luck was when Chef Glen treated us for a smoked bangus belly which was not in the menu . Plus he was kind enough to have a short chat before we left the place and of course, a selfie It is sure one of the places you really need to go when you’re in Brussels. But make sure to book reservations as you never know if they can still accommodate you.
Flew all the way from London to get to finally try Chef Glen’s culinary artistry in Humphrey Bruxelles. Been searching for that distinct reinterpreted Filipino heritage cooking and that is exactly what we found in his exqusite 7 course tasting menu. The attention to detail and harmony of flavors is a gift to the senses. The service and ambience feels like a warm hug, as they give their full attention to the diner’s customer experience. We are already looking forward to the next time we can dine here. This truly makes us feel like we are home.
I went here for my 30th birthday and was really looking forward to go as a Filipina living in Belgium. Right off the bat, was met by a rude and unpleasant waiter (the one who wears black glasses). He scolded us for being 10 minutes late (we got lost in at Interparking). They only have a tasting menu but we opted for a shorter menu since the rude waiter said we were late. We messaged them via Google Maps in advance that one person wants the vegetarian option and he scolds us again for not telling them in advance. He then complained they can’t make changes to the menu on the fly, even though they said on the website they have vegetarian options. Then started arguing with us that since my bf does not eat fish only veggies, incorrectly claims he is actually vegan and not vegetarian. Really exhausting and was already regretting choosing this place for my birthday. Then I asked if the bistek came with rice. Waiter looked at me weird saying they do not serve rice. I’m confused because they claim to be a Filipino resto. Waiter mocks me for asking rice makes a fuss then asks the cook who says ok he will make rice. After sorting this misunderstanding, the food came. The fried tapioca dish was great, croquettes were ok. Then the mushroom sisig came which was just mushroom and soy sauce, not sure how that was even considered a vegetarian sisig but oh well. Beef bistek came, amazing flavor really soft, star of the show. They gave us a bowl of wet rice which I guess is my fault for ordering something that is not in the menu. Oh and their tasting menu has no dessert. Overall super super disappointing experience. If you are Filipino just go with zero expectations and maybe you will like it. And maybe bring your own rice next time. To Chez Pias: train your waiter to be more pleasant and less arguementative.

Recommend. The drinks were great, service was great, and the food was incredibly tasty.
