8 years of sparkling concerts and crisp presentations, soft aperitifs and rough dj-sets. In recent years it is also remarkable the engagement in sport with the PIOLA.LIBRI F.C. Long life, Piola.libri!! ! View all feedback.
Paola Libri is the ideal spot in Brussels for enjoying high-quality Italian wine at a reasonable price. The cozy atmosphere is enhanced by the presence of Italian literature and comic books, creating a unique and inviting experience. The staff is incredibly patient and knowledgeable, willing to guide guests through the extensive wine list, especially for those unfamiliar with the diverse range of Italian varieties.
Located in the heart of the EU district next to the Berlaymont building and the Cinquantenaire, this restaurant is a staple in the area. Stop by for a coffee, a glass of wine, delicious food, cocktails, live concerts, readings, a selection of books, and children's workshops. It can get crowded at times, but that's just a testament to its popularity.
Italians abroad are one of the worst things in the world: I emigrated to leave behind the shame of the beautiful country and I want to throw myself on local culture and intercultural friendships discovering new flavors new sounds new times of cooking pasta... but then what the **** can an Italian abroad against Italians abroad? It's like having a problem with yourself. To me the wine I miss a figure and the pasta al dente and the books of Benni Ammaniti Zerocalcare Gipi and the music that you can sing without fear of wrong pronunciation and the films that you do not have to read the subtitles. The local culture and intercultural friendships are wonderful but home is home and La Piola is a small, warm and welcoming place like a hug of an old friend you do not know well but that you know that you are fond of him because in the end it looks like a lot and inside there are beautiful people and ugly people, as in the whole world, as you are every day. I made an important decision deciding to emigrate because in addition to the shame of the beautiful country I left behind all the rest and I know that in this place I can always find a piece, in good and in evil. And it makes me feel better.
A pinch of the best Italy set in the Belgian frame. Books, cappuccini, beers and presentations that are worth seeing and keeping in your memories. And the kindness of the staff is something you cannot acquire over time but is innate. You can see they paid me, right?
This is a fantastic spot to enjoy an aperitivo while engaging in stimulating conversations about books! They also host wonderful cultural events.
