This has been a favourite of mine for many years and I've just been back for the first time in four years, mainly due to Covid. Didn't take me long to reaffirm that it's still the friendliest, best and most welcoming in Brussels View all feedback.
What Maxim Demir doesn't like about Au Soleil:
Absolutely rude. We asked the guy if they take card, he says yes. Then after ordering he tells us only cash, takes away our beers as we had only card, and starts actually yelling allez! Allez! Allez! for us to leave. Even if there was miscommunication in the beginning, you handle it discreetly. You don 't yell at your customers to the whole bar, that 's incredibly rude and unprofessional. Great place for a couple of beers. Prices are okay.
Nice place for a beer on the terrace. Close to the main square, but a lot quieter.
Barman super nice. Beer has very affordable prices. I recommend for tourists as I wish to find friends on site, accessible by many metros.
Very nice bar with a large terrace and a good atmosphere. Bar service that allows you to have very affordable prices. I like the cosmopolitan and chichi-free aspect. It's an institution in the neighborhood.
