What User doesn't like about Wiphada:
ideal restaurant to leave, sit at the crime scene. The inside is tight and modern. We ordered two currys. The taste was good, although we found some badass and there weren't so many vegetables and tofu in the sauce. We usually have enough for lunch, but not anymore. Wiphada is cheaper than bridges other thaise restos. View all feedback.
Pad see ew is good, but not as I know in the USA. Service is slow as it is a small team, but I wasn't in the rush.
Vegan options are clearly marked on the menu: there is a vegan appetizer (Great soup with coconut milk and a handful of vegan main dishes. The food was really nice. We had the vegetable soup with coconut milk (7.50€). Pumpkin and tofu in red curry with coconut milk (10.50€ and Thai style roasted noodles with tofu, vegetables and peanuts (9€). Huge portions. We couldn't finish the main dishes and asked the left to take with us (no problem, although you pay 0.20 and 0.40 for the boxes that are fair! . Very good value for money (card, considering the prices in Bruges . We had lunch in the restaurant, but they also offer to take. The restaurant itself is not so cozy (loud hit parade music, small tables, ... . This is not for a relaxed going out. I'd like to eat her food again, but next time I decide to take it away. Accessible entrance not accessible toilet.
I asked for a vegan pad thai but the owner misheard me and made one with egg; when I told her it was not at all a problem to make me a new one (and she even told me that they would eat it later which I love because no food waste . The pad thai itself was delicious and filling! The seating is casual, but not bad at all.
My better half found out about this via Facebook, being described as authentic Thai Streetfood with a good range of veggie and options. First of all it’s the only Thai restaurant in Brugge that doesn’t seem to have chosen it’s décor based on what western minds expect to see in a Thai restaurant… it is a small family run restaurant which has pictures on the wall from the owners child, and has a nice uncomplicated informal vibe. After selecting your food and drinks from the menu, you fill in the quantities on the order slip and take it to the counter or hand it to the waiter. Drinks are cheap, in fact it’s unlikely that you’ll find many restaurants cheaper, the big plus is that the food is also great value for money and delicious, the most expensive vegan main course costing only €10.50! The only downside is that it’s not huge, and now that I have let the secret out perhaps next time I go there won’t be any space for me! Whiphada is currently closed as the chef is heavily pregnant, you can check the current status at [hidden link] Best of luck to the owners and looking forward to eating your delicious food sometime soon : Back Open and back with a bang. Great food! Updated from previous review on 2019-07-18
