We always eat here when we’re in Brugge. The food and service is always excellent. It is ideally located not far from Minnewater and where the horse’s and carriages start from. We have eaten in many restaurants in Brugge but this is by far the best for quality of food and friendliness of the staff. We definitely recommend La Dentelliere. View all feedback.

this Belgian restaurant next to the lake of love is the typical one that would not come in because when you are in such a touristic place you think you will get a nail, but the reality is that they have a bit of prices eaten, and a lunch menu for 16€ that is very good, includes mussels with fries, half chicken, meuniere tongue and salads View all feedback.

What a splendid location! The winds were exceptionally crisp on the day we visited though, so we opted to eat inside. The inside is quaint and nicely decorated, although I had to be careful not to step on the power strip next to my side of the table. The selection of beer was ample. The Straffe Hendrik Brugs Quadrupel is a nice place to start, if you 're unsure but want a robust, dark beer. We each ordered the Special Menu, and it was clear my wife made better choices than I did. She began with a goat cheese salad (the warm goat cheese wrapped in bacon). That was dee-lish! Her second was Salmon in White Wine Sauce with small potatoes. Also very good. She had a mint tea with rose petals that she said was excellent. I, on the other hand, began with the tomato and shrimp salad. Half of a large tomato with a scoop of the tiny shrimp that are popular in Belgium. It was nice, but left me lusting after something a bit more... substantial. For my second I got the Fish Chips. Surely a good go-to meal when you 're not sure, right? Nope. The fish was a rectangular fillet of unremarkable fish that had probably been in the freezer for some time now. That was disappointing. The fries were okay, but this is a country that boasts the best fries in the world, isn 't it? Not so, here. We both had the ice cream for dessert, equally unremarkable. Oh, and 2€ to pour more hot water into my wife 's teacup. Oh, well...
I recently dined at a nice French-Flemish restaurant in Bruges, Belgium. For my meal, I ordered the Butter Steak and Fries. The steak was a filet cooked on a flat top in butter, resulting in a tender and juicy medium-cooked steak that was lathered in butter. It was delicious. I also enjoyed a side of crispy fries with mayo for dipping, a classic Flemish dish. I washed it all down with a refreshing Coke.
We had a wonderful meal at this restaurant on our final night in Belgium. The building and decor were charming, with a watering spot for horses and a fountain right outside. I ordered the steak (filet mignon, if I recall correctly) with a very tasty sauce (possibly capers? not au poivre), which was worth the extra 3 euros. One of my friends tried the regional Flemish specialty with mussels and chicken stew and fries, and she was very impressed. My girlfriend ordered the dover sole and was equally pleased. We all enjoyed Belgian beers (although I can't remember the specific type). The server (possibly the manager) was very attentive and spoke English, even though the menu was in Dutch. We were too full for dessert, but surprisingly, the highlight of the meal might have been the coffee I had afterwards: delicious and some of the best I've had in Europe. Overall, a very positive dining experience.
