So we arrived around 3pm and the place was packed and that usually means a good thing. Right? We waited not even 5 minutes but waited almost 30 for our food. The chips are some type of cheese tortilla and not the regular kind at restaurants. The salsa isweak and definitely not fresh. I ordered the nachos and it came with sour cream packets from Daisy. Your café lechero, picks you up and goes, their food is always authentic and tasty, owners are from tampico Mexico and brought their taste and taste to the border, breakfast or lunch, it is always ingenious food and very well served, not to mention their fresh tarts made daily or Mexican sweet bread, yum yum yum, enjoy!!
Since the owners of Veracruz Mexico are, you can be sure that you get quite authentic Mexican food. We were 6 people and ordered Tacos, Enchiladas, Milanesa, Steak Tampiqueño and a salad. Everything was good and well prepared. The restaurant was full of Mexicans. Friendly service. Moderate prices. You can buy fresh baked goods to take home.
Absolutely delicious. So many different options for breakfast. I had the Enchiladas Vera Cruz, which was covered in a black bean sauce with Queenso blanco and acid cream. Chorizo and roasted Jalapeño. Not what I expected from a small local café. Great service and a wonderful meal.
Food is fresh, pleasantly plated and served. Authentic Mexican bakery and grill....originated in Mexico in 1945. Colorful Cosmo style...Tres Leche Cake to die for...a piece is a meal....fresh pandulce daily at 8:30am. Tarts and main courses, Caldos and Salads...come sit and talk and share comida.
