La Familia Bakery - Brownsville

The broth was thick and hard, and it wasn't served covered. I also ordered a few more dishes from a server who seemed confused and didn't recognize me, even though I mentioned I wanted to eat in the morning. I had hoped we would at least get to try the bread, but I was disappointed.

The bread was stale and small, and the service did not improve after bringing it to their attention.

This is one of my favorite bakeries in the valley. No one, and I mean no one, makes better conchas. The only pan dulce I can't stand here are the chocolate donuts—they're just awful. Everything else is fantastic! The pan dulce is great, the prices are reasonable, and the service is excellent. It has an old-school vibe, but it's a bakery, and it has been around for years. There was even a time when they would make a special batch of conchas just for me! You have to give this place a try!

The sweet bread was super soft and it has a great taste

Now you got to understand, this place looks a bit iffy to some people inside. But there is a reason why this place has been opened for many years. The oh so sweet aromatic wind that passes through this place will make you hungry even after having a big breakfast! It is incomparable to any other bake shop in Brownsville. Ofcourse there are others with good stuff. But La Familia Bakery takes their sweet bread game to a whole 'nother level. You HAVE to stop here to find out what they 're up to.
