The vegan menu sounded fantastic, but the execution left much to be desired. I tried the chickpea dumplings with peach chutney, and they were incredibly dry—each bite required a sip of my drink just to get them down. The accompanying salad was nothing more than rocket leaves without any dressing. Additionally, the drink prices were outrageous; I paid $12 for a small can of cider.
Seperate vegan menu with well thought out dishes. I had the vegan dumplings which were more mini veggie patties than dumplings but otherwise were delicious. The meal had an array or components including grilled peaches and salsa verde sauce. For dessert they have an amazing chocolate mud cake, the icing is like a thick ganache. It really is just a standard choc cake but very cool that it’s an option. Portions were decent/large. It can take a while for food to arrive though, so don’t arrive hungry!
Full vegan menu at bar and restaurant. A bit pricey but like everything else at Cable Beach. You need to ask for the vegan menu. Some employees don’t know about it!
What a fantastic restaurant! The live music was amazing, the ambiance was beautiful, and the food was excellent. I tried the black bean salad, which was both healthy and delicious! It was a bit challenging to get a table since the place was so popular. We enjoyed watching the sunset and later saw the camels returning for the night.
Definitely come here early and catch the sunset.. Absolutely beautiful! Lamb two ways was amazing, only wish the portion was bigger. Would have liked a bit of bread with the charcuteire plate but apart from that everything was perfect!
