**Dining at The Wicked Monk: A Mixed Experience** The Wicked Monk entices with a lively atmosphere and friendly staff, making it a popular spot in the neighborhood. Guests have praised its impressive beer selection and generous portion sizes, particularly enjoying dishes like chicken pot pie and Philly Mac and Cheese. However, inconsistencies in food quality and service have been noted, with some experiencing long waits and less-than-satisfactory meals. Hints of staff attitude and spoiled items have also emerged in feedback. Despite these concerns, many agree that the vibrant setting is ideal for casual outings or date nights, making it a place worth trying for local patrons.

Great place for a family dinner or a bar night. Great menu and bar. Events every now and again. Plenty of TVs for you sports fans

This is one of the best bar/restaurants in the neighborhood. Friendly staff, a generous beer selection, and a surprisingly good kitchen make for a great date night or just a casual drink after work. Highly recommend!

I had some light-hearted interactions with a couple of other patrons, which made me feel very welcome—there was absolutely no sense of being an outsider. Our server, Lauren, was fantastic! She was friendly and attentive, checking in with us at just the right moments. She handled my unusual request for a glass of milk without missing a beat and provided detailed information about upcoming special events at The Monk. Her authenticity was palpable; she’s clearly been there for a while and knew the stories behind the dishes we inquired about. Plus, she shared cheerful banter with a local who was waiting for his food. The positive atmosphere was infectious—cheers to Lauren! I ordered the steak sandwich, which was freshly cooked and sliced to order—not pre-cooked and warmed-up slices. My father tried the potato balls, which were absolutely delicious—definitely a must-try! The unsweetened iced tea was refreshingly bright, tasting like it was truly brewed, unlike what you often find elsewhere. They also have a full cocktail and whiskey menu, available by the glass. As a fan of Jameson, I’m excited to spend an evening soon trying some of the selections I've never seen before. I can't wait to compare them with the variety of other whiskeys on the menu—just to be thorough, of course! I joked that if I lived nearby, I would be visiting every night. As for parking, it’s typical Brooklyn street parking, but there are two paid lots about 4 or 5 blocks away. I noticed that street spots opened up more often than expected, and the area is filled with shops and small businesses. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and am already looking forward to trying the wings on my next visit. Until next time, Wicked Monk! Cheers! -Doc

I always passed wicked monk and wanted to stop in and finally did with my wife and friend last Saturday. I love there decor and the feel of old school wooden bar style, I got the fish and chips which I liked very much my wife got a burger with some friesand my friend got a broil style seafood mix that also looked good. For our appetizer we got a potato leak soup which for thefirst time having it I have to say taste excellent!!!! If your a craft beer connoisseur as I am this place also has some verygood craft beer on tap. I definitely will be coming back to try something new next time

The waitress and waiters were great but the food took a long time. I ordered the Caesar salad and it was just awful. My toddler's meal came with ice cream dessert and we waited over 20 minutes for them to bring just that out.
