Weiss Kosher Bakery - Brooklyn
Weiss Kosher Bakery
Description
Weiss Kosher Bakery blends old‑world, heimish charm with a wide, affordable selection of kosher pastries — challah, kokosh, poppyseed rolls, black‑and‑white cookies, danishes, donuts and fresh breads — served quickly by friendly staff in a clean neighborhood shop. Dense, chocolatey specialties stand out, though cakes and challah labeling can be inconsistent. Mask and social‑distancing enforcement is lax, yet locals and visitors praise the nostalgic flavors and fast, welcoming service.

My first experience at this restaurant was fantastic and the food was absolutely delicious. I was blown away!
This is the best bakery in Brooklyn! Everything here is fresh and absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it!
They have nice challah, however it is occasionally mislabeled. You may find wheat or kamut challah in the spelt box with the whole spelt challah. We had this issue a few times now. Especially when they make all the challahs round during the holiday season.
The Spanish waitress is dishonest and overcharges customers. It's advisable to double-check your bill.
This charming, traditional bakery offers some of the best black and white cookies, chocolate bells, danishes, and fresh bread. The staff puts in a great effort to manage a rather "challenging" clientele. However, I deducted a star because the employees do not wear masks and do not enforce mask-wearing or social distancing among customers.
