Watty and Meg is a charming and cozy restaurant in Carroll Gardens that offers delicious and imaginative dishes. While some reviews mentioned limited menus and slow service, the majority praised the outstanding food quality, friendly staff, and comfortable atmosphere. Highlights included trout with grits, steak and fries, special soft shell crabs, and a delightful brunch with huevos rancheros and fig jam. The restaurant has a creative menu, generous portions, and excellent desserts like the blondie sundae and chocolate sorbet. Overall, Watty and Meg offers a pleasant dining experience and is worth a visit for a tasty meal in a welcoming environment.
Enjoyed our experience, friendly staff, good food. A little on the expensive side but guess it’s the city.
We returned to Watty and Meg after a few years. The food had been satisfactory. But this time it was outstanding. Delicious trout with grits delicate combination of textures and flavors. Steak and roast chicken were great, as well. Blondie sundae was not the gooey run of the mill. The ingredients were independent of one another, yet combined into a wonderful dessert. Chocolate sorbet was a generous portion. Outstanding service. Eager to return!
It’s tasty but super expensive. We ended up using double of normal Friday dining!
