I had the best time here with my cousin. I have had High Tea at different locations. But Brooklyn High Low was a special experience. The vintage feel and decor, including the teapots were memorable. Exceptional service.
You cannot get a better tea anywhere in NYC than Brooklyn High Low. I consider myself to be a bit of an aficionado of afternoon tea and have been to several tea houses and services in the City and NJ and let me tell you Brooklyn High Low is TOPS (and their other location The Parlour is too).Highly recommend the grand heights tea....it's a feast! The starter is soup (carrot I think) with crumpets and herb butter delicious. Then you get your tower which is filled with 8 different finger sandwiches each one so different and unique (my fave was the truffle chicken salad), warm delicious scones, jam, lemon curd and cream, and a tray of desserts (that cherry one was my fave). You can try as many teas as you want (there were 3 of us and I believe we tried 4 total between us). And with the grand heights you get a 90 minute tea, rather than 60 minutes so more time to talk. The tea room itself is so pretty and home y. Like you're walking into an old granny's vintage apartment. the vintage decor is stunning and the garden in the back is so pretty. Loved all the mis matched china too. What I also loved is that you can be casual or fancy. I saw someone dressed in sweats at one table and at another they were dressed to the nines.Parking in Brooklyn Heights can be daunting...but surprisingly, we didn't have a problem. They have meters and we were able to get a spot pretty easily. Most importantly everyone that works there is SO NICE and so inviting. It was a pleasure and a wonderful experience to have had tea at Brooklyn High Low.
As always, Brooklyn High Low is an amazing experience. Would I travel from Harlem to Brooklyn if it wasn't incredible? Of course not. Book your table now because they fill up fast!
Our time at BK High Low today was lovely! It was the perfect way to spend a birthday with good friends. We sat in the garden on the coldest day of the year but mostly were cozy beside our frozen toes, which is just the nature of being anywhere in the cold. The tea was delicious and they had such a diverse selection. The scones were fluffy and beautifully textured but we were not impressed with the sandwiches. The desserts were good but we agreed the tea and scones are the best part. I will say that we were a party of 7 outside so we were harder to reach but the service was not outstanding. All in all, I would surely recommend the Grand Vanderbilt at least once for the special experience that full afternoon tea is. It doesn't hurt that the HIgh Low's parlor spaces are so delightful! I will return again for cream tea without the extra food but I am so glad I chose BHL for our get-together:
We sat in the outdoor garden space. Space heaters were on and they provided warm blankets so it wasn’t too cold even in the middle of January. Tea was delicious. Small sandwiches were very good and so were the scones and small desserts. Highly recommend for a girls day! The space was so cozy and cute too.
