We had a short wait, which was understandabl... read more My friend and I went to The Common for brunch, and we found it to be a cozy little place with a modest dining area. We had a short wait, which was understandable given that it was a Sunday. They kindly took our number, allowing us to explore some nearby shops while we waited for a table. The service was friendly and inviting, and the food was delightful. I particularly loved the potatoes; they had a fresh taste even though they were fried.

The cus... read more We had a delightful Saturday brunch! I enjoyed a banana smoothie, while my companion had the Inside Out Truffle Bun, and both were absolutely fantastic. The customer service was exceptional, and we didn't have to wait long at all. This spot was recommended to us by our neighbor. We arrived around 10:30 AM on a Saturday with a party of two.

They don’t accept reservations, and my wait time was around 15 minutes. There’s a great attention to detail, from the table settings to the wall decor. I also tried their pierogi as takeout, and it was delicious after a quick microwave warming. The quality of service was outstanding, with a warm goodbye from the staff as I left the restaurant.

The food is rich and flavorful, setting it apart from typical diner fare—there's definitely some flair to the dishes. We shared the smashed young potatoes, which had delightful toppings, although I wished they were Hasselback potatoes instead. I also enjoyed the grilled sausage and baked eggs skillet, which was both tasty and filling. The skillet pancakes were fluffy and tasted like a wonderful blend of cornbread and Cinnabon. Overall, the menu is fantastic and the service was outstanding. Keep in mind that the place can get busy due to its limited number of tables, so it's wise to plan ahead.

The restaurant is small but clean, although the service was extremely slow; it took nearly 20 minutes to receive our coffee. We ordered the chicken and waffles, which had an interesting cheddar flavor, but the chicken was overcooked and it was just a thigh cutlet, so I won't be ordering that again. We also tried the Latin Breakfast and California Omelet, and those dishes were more enjoyable. The most disappointing part of our experience was when I asked for water, and then my friend did the same. The server took my glass and awkwardly placed it between her armpit and breast. I definitely won't be eating here again.
