I had a great experience at this restaurant. Despite its outdated appearance, the food was delicious. I tried the guava and orange anaseis as well as a beef patty, both of which were very tasty. They also give a generous portion of ice with their drinks, making it a good value compared to other ice stores in NYC. View all feedback. What User doesn't like about Taste The Tropics:
I'm not sure what's going on here, but the food quality is as disappointing as the customer service. A neighborhood gem that is let down by poor service. I've tried the Irish moss ice cream and peanut ice cream within the last two months, and both tasted the same - like nutmeg. I suggest they revisit their recipe.
