I ordered from here a few Weeks ago and it was great. It was a little pricy but had fresh products and large portions. The lady working was friendly and professional. I really like the decor and vibe of the restaurant. I get off the L train each day and definitely will be back. The corn was my favvvvvv! I definitely recommend to everyone! View all feedback.
What Charles Sommer doesn't like about Taco Edition:
This place is terrible. Had the crane asada burrito and all of the meat was rock hard gristle. Nearly choked. It’s also so expensive and the portions are small, 18 dollars for a burrito bowl is insane. And please stop with the spring mix in everything. Wilted, warm baby lettuce is not good on anything. Go to literally any other Mexican spot on grand street. View all feedback.
As for the food, it's unlike any other Mexican cuisine I've tried. Their dishes are full of flavor and richness. I ordered quite a bit since my friend and I were very hungry: lamb tacos, pork tacos, beef quesadillas with extra mushrooms, tinga tostadas, tostones, fried sweet plantains, and churros. They did an excellent job with everything, and I enjoyed nearly all of it. This was my first time trying tostones, and while I’m not a huge fan, they paired well with the dipping sauce. The tostadas were my least favorite, but I absolutely loved the lamb tacos, which remain my top choice. The quesadillas were also amazing and are now my second favorite. I highly recommend this place! Just a heads-up: they do not have a restroom available.
We’ve always enjoyed dining at this restaurant since we first came in 2018. However, after a long day craving their typically delicious food, we were disappointed to find that the chicken and steak tacos we received were unseasoned and dry. Normally, the tacos are generously topped with avocado cream, but today they appeared quite different and lacking in freshness. I'm not sure what has changed, but I don’t think we’ll be coming back.
I can only comment on the fish tacos shrimp tostada and the nachos All are great especially the shrimp tostada with coconut on top Their hot sauces are hot and on point It?s a little pricier than other local taco spots but it?s still worth it for what Iorder any way which is one of the above Will not be getting their drinks again tho unfortunately Too sweet the margarita tasteslike a packet mix and for ten dollars I expected a fresh margarita. This should just be five dollars for what you get. IMO evenstill I wouldn?t order as I prefer freshly lemon /lime juice Great backyard They need to work on their drinks
3 Al pastor tacos were delicious and very affordable. Cool neighborhoody backyard. Very kind mannered staff.
The food is tasty, the service is great, and the prices are reasonable; however, the space is somewhat limited. There’s only one round outdoor table that seats three people and a few bar stools inside.
