Sugarcane offers authentic Caribbean flavors with generous portions and reasonable prices. While the food is delicious, the small space can get loud and service may be lacking at times. Despite some issues with service and ambiance, many customers keep returning for the great food. The restaurant is not kid-friendly but perfect for a girls' night out. Overall, Sugarcane provides a home-like atmosphere with flavorful dishes, friendly staff, and a vibrant ambiance, making it a must-try for those craving Caribbean cuisine in Manhattan.

I absolutely loved Sugarcane with my sister! We tried to dine there a few times but it was always fully booked. However, on our last night in Brooklyn, we were able to get a table and I'm so glad we did. My sister's curried goat was fantastic and my Trinidadian salmon was delicious. The rum punches and mojitos were very generous. It's definitely the best Caribbean restaurant in Manhattan.

I had the mango coleslaw $8 and it was very very salty. The sugarcane wings were good. 8/9 pieces for $15. And the Hibiscus drink$15 I enjoyed. The table was sticky. But the attendants were attentive and courteous.
