Absolutely delicious . Ordered the Saltfish and Callaloo for breakfast. Delish!!!!! Ground food and all I ate every single bite. Cornmeal Porridge was spot on. Fantastic meal! View all feedback.
What L R doesn't like about Stumpy's Spot:
I really don't want to give it any stars. I ordered ackee and saltfish and cornmeal porridge. The porridge was ok. But the Ackee and saltfish was horrible. Couldn't eat it. Had to throw it out. $20 wasted. Never ever again View all feedback.
I was looking forward to a better experience, but after waiting nearly an hour, I found out from my Grubhub driver that none of my items were available. This is not professional; they should provide alternative options and keep their online menu updated. Thank you.
I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. The food was cold and the claim that they accept debit and credit cards turned out to be false. If I could rate this place a negative 10, I absolutely would, as they don’t deserve to be in business. I honestly believe they should be held accountable for serving such poor quality food. This restaurant leaves a bad impression of Caribbean cuisine and shows a lack of pride in their work. If you don't take pride in what you serve, then maybe you shouldn't be in the business at all. I will never, and I mean NEVER, dine here again—I don't even want to see this place again. If you're looking for good food, I recommend heading down to Jigga's instead, where the food is at least fresh.
I was disappointed with the lack of seasoning in the curry chicken and vegetables I received, especially considering that the food is prepared by authentic Jamaicans. I wouldn't recommend it.
I visited this restaurant today, and I will never go back! I ordered a soup, and the server put in more liquid than anything else. I really regret spending my money there. It was a lesson learned. There was hardly anyone else in the place either. Honestly, they should just shut it down!
I ordered oxtail with rice and peas, fried chicken, and jerk chicken. First of all, the entrance indicated that they accepted credit and debit cards, but that turned out not to be the case. The fried chicken tasted like it was leftover from the night before, and it was served cold, like it had been pulled straight from the refrigerator. The oxtails were overly sweet, reminiscent of something that might come from Willy Wonka's chocolate factory. The rice was hard, resembling Spanish concon, but in a less appetizing way. This was the worst West Indian food I have ever had. I ended up tossing it out on the side of the road. I genuinely tried to find something positive to say about the meal, but it was just disrespectful. It left me frustrated for the entire day. Oxtails are quite expensive, so serving them this way feels like a real violation. I hope they read this review and recognize the need for improvement. If anyone else has dined here and enjoyed the food, please let me know.
