The bouncers seemed to keep a close eye on certain guests, making creepy comments that indicated they were being watched, while the real troublemakers—dealers and users—wandered about freely. Some guys told me that while they were searched for drugs, one bouncer discovered a knife on someone but let it slide. There were very few women present, most of the crowd composed of solitary men who were confrontational and unwelcoming. Many rooms were nearly empty, save for those men drifting through the dim, neon-lit space. We decided to leave in a hurry without even getting a drink, after a series of bizarre and uncomfortable interactions that left us feeling uneasy. If I had to judge this place during the day, I would avoid it altogether. The vibes were just terrible.
