Diners enjoy brunch, date nights and group dinners, though food quality can be uneven — standout pastas and fried dishes contrast with occasional bland or poorly executed plates and rare service missteps. Nice atmosphere and great menu. The wait staff was friendly and we really enjoyed our meals. The short rib appetizer was especially delicious. We had the lasagna and the rabbit tagliatelle. Everything was superb. My only (small) complaint is that the portions were a bit small, but overall the experience was nice and we'll definitely be back.
Lovely atmosphere and good service. The waiter was very present and regularly checked in with me. All the food was good, and I really liked the Meyer lemon catalana that the waiter recommended. The goat was a bit dry.
I tried the lobster risotto special, and it was anything but special. It was easily one of the worst meals I've ever had. When I politely mentioned to the waiter that I didn’t enjoy it, he responded in a passive-aggressive manner. Although the meal was taken off the bill, the entire experience left a bad taste. It might have just been an off night, but the dish was simply subpar—watery, lacking in seasoning, and the lobster quality was poor.
One of the best restaurants in Carroll garden the staff are very friendly and professional definitely recommend. Food: 5 Service: 5
