Recently moved to greenpoint and came here for happy hourIt was great! Great deal on the small places, only $5-6 and everything was delicious.
I made a reservation at Sauvage for my friends birthday todayThe problems began the moment we walked in. 1.
The service and ambiance here was excellent. The menu was very well rounded. We got filet mignon and Royal Red Shrimp to share with salads, sauteed garlic mushrooms and baked potato. There were baskets of a variety of breads and two kinds of butter. Truffles were provided at the end of the meal. It was a beautiful dining experience!
This restaurant is beautifully decorated and has great service, but the food was disappointing for Sunday brunch in March. The fish sandwich was burnt and the bread was hard, making it inedible. The Egg Sandwich Croque Monsieur lacked a soft yolk and the egg was overcooked, more like a dry omelette. It seemed like the cook may not have been present, leading to a disappointing dining experience.
The restaurant has the option to dine indoors or outdoors, but we chose to sit inside because of its proximity to the road. The service was fantastic - friendly, efficient, and not at all rushed. The food was delicious, although we were disappointed by the high prices of the drinks.
