I'm thrilled that this place is not only here but also thriving. It's a genuine Metal/Hard Rock venue in Brooklyn that truly lives up to the hype. The layout, staff, sound quality, and the crowd are all outstanding! I just performed there with The Liza Colby Sound, and we can't wait to return! This venue is the real deal! Long live St. V!
Milk & Roses, the café just up the block, was my recent destination, and I had the chance to sample some of their drinks and food. Overall, not bad! However, I encountered one major issue. While chatting with the manager or owner—whose name I can't quite recall, but it was something Italian—I mentioned how much I enjoy the nearby metal club, St. Vitus. To my surprise, he completely dismissed my comment and made derogatory remarks about the venue and its patrons. I was taken aback and felt insulted by his reaction upon hearing the name St. Vitus. This experience left a sour taste in my mouth, and I have decided not to return to Milk & Roses. The attitude displayed by the people running the place felt judgmental and, frankly, a bit prejudiced. They seem to judge others based solely on appearances.
I come here all the way from South Brooklyn time to time to get my 'metal battery ' recharged, always a great experience. I love the fact that it 's small and intimate, for me it 's the best way to watch a metal band. I couldn 't believe when they played Gojira! Where else you can see mega band like this with crowd of just couple hundred people?!! Thank you St V that you exist!
So many great memories here that I will cherish for the rest of my life. RIP SVB Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
