We made reservations for an anniversary dinner. Ruth's Chris doesn't disappoint. Food was great, service was awesome and the ambiance was nice. This was a first visit to this location on LaCantera Parkway. Downside was my vehicle being broke into and ruining the rest of our evening plans. Signs said surveyed by camera - no necessarily true. The buildings are surveyed. Of course, not really the fault of Ruth's Chris but waiting an hour to report it since we live just outside SA was definitely a downer. Next time - UBER for sure.
This was most of our party's first time at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. It was a wonderful dining experience, especially for a special occasion. The service was excellent, and the food was wonderful.
Good experience. Only major complaint was my steak sandwich was cooked a little too long for my taste. I chose not to send it back, but they would have redone it no problem.
Runner Stone is a cafe and bakery in Gowanus that offers a variety of snacks, drinks, and baked goods. With a slightly confusing menu and inconsistent quality, guests found some items to be overpriced and under-seasoned. However, the bread and desserts were highlights, while the ambiance was decent and wait staff were friendly. Despite some mixed reviews on the food and service, overall, Runner Stone seems to be a popular spot for visitors to enjoy a meal or snack in a relaxed atmosphere.

Absolute best sandwiches in this hidden gem! The duck Reuben was insanely good and the onion rings were perfectly cooked.Food: 5/5
Wow the food and service are incredible. The bread is artisanal. Such a gem in Brooklyn. Highly highly recommend. Incredible wine list too! And they have a garden where they grow their own vegetables and flowers!Food: 5/5
Sometimes it’s nice to find a beautiful eating/cafe experience in an industrial chic artisan and down to earth location such as Gowanus in Brooklyn … and Runner and Stone is such an experience. The food and ambience is pure art and simply DELICIOUS. My friend and I meandered over on a sunny late morning and stepped into a gourmet heaven. There’s a sandwich menu on the wall with lovely choices, a bar with pastries and various food items. There’s bread, coffee, coolers with salads and drinks … wine for sale … tables here and there. (Yes it is humane and there is a restroom). We were there for a quick lunch and chat and it was lovely seeing a steady stream of people getting items to go and shopping for gourmet grocery items. It seems like it has dinner too and would definitely like to try that real soon!Thank you Runner and Stone.
We were seated in the lower level which had a great atmosphere. Our waiter answered all of our questions since it was our first visit to the restaurant. They will also accommodate customers with dietary restrictions. The hummus appetizer as well as the Brussels sprouts were delicious. I had the Chickpea Lumache dish and absolutely loved it. I cannot wait to go back.
Grabbed some coffee and snacks from Runner Stone on Saturday morning. An odd spot that needs more direction and simplification.Quality: It is a bit confusing as to what Runner Stone wants to be. Several guests in line were attempting to order things they saw online that don't exist. Each menu in the place also seemed to have a different set of items listed. In the end I ordered what I could point to. My Latte was fine and pretty affordable. I had two snacks a Cheddar And Olive Pastry and an Almond Croissant. Again both fine, the Almond Croissant was a bit better than the savory option. Neither however would have me running back.Quantity: Standard size drinks and snacks.Value: $4 for a Latte. $4-$7 for Pastries.Ambiance: Runner Stone is a cafe and bakery in Gowanus. I think it has had many different iterations from before COVID to now, but has settled into a coffee shop and bakery format. They have a large ordering counter, which seems too big for the space. A few tables near the front window, high-tops along the left wall, and a more tables towards the back provide just enough seating for the few guests that stay. The space is dim and not ideal for working or reading.Crowd: A line formed, but it was mostly because of the speed of service. Drinks took a long time and there was not even offers to warm up pastries.Service: Friendly to a fault, spent a lot of time chatting with customers and the line started to go out the door.Parking: A decent area to find a spot.

I love their baguettes and pastries! I tried the seasonal danish and it was so flakey and delicious. Good bread places are hard to find. Their coffee is pretty good too. I got there too early for the lunch menu, but will definitely be back to try them next time.
We came at 8am, when they were just taking the pastries out of the oven. We had a chocolate croissant, and a regular croissant. Both had the perfect texture (despite being a bit cold), with all the layers detaching easily, as it should be. Taste and depth of flavor could go from good to excellent if they used French butter, which I’m 80% sure is the main improvement point. Cappuccino was excellent
I absolutely love runner and stone. All their baked goods are delicious (recommend the baguettes, brioche, and chocolate croissants). Also have great sandwich options for lunch (recommend the mozzarella and the lentil quinoa burger).
Excellent almond croissant. Everything looked delicious. When I’m back in the area, I’ll definitely stop again.

Runner Stone is a top-notch restaurant with excellent service and outstanding lunch and dinner menus. Their Coffee and Bakery offerings are top-notch, featuring fresh and exquisite items.
The restaurant has a pleasant ambiance and unique decorations. The service is excellent. The pretzel was a little dry. The arancini was tasty but a bit heavy.

Always wonderful. Love the bread. Pasta's are great and they make a mean Negroni. Go.

What a cute place! The service and food were top notch! I met some friends for dinner and there was a great selection of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options in addition to meat dishes. I had the chickpea gemelli pasta with mushroom bolognese. It was a large portion, which was so good I ate the whole thing. I don't eat meat, but my friend said the burger was one of the best they've ever had. To finish, we shared a beautiful cobbler. Highly recommend this place to catch up with friends or have a cute date night.
