Can't go wrong with this steakhouse. Make sure you tip good as the servers are amazing . Romanians get a 10+
The critic that gave this place the one star rating may have been confused about where he was dining. Quality steaks, check. Rustic setting, check. Satisfying experience, check. Call your cardiologist to get medical clearance, then head over to Luger's.
There is one thing Peter Lugers Steak House knows how to cook; steak potatoes. The German potatoes were over the top delicious. An A . Pass on a baked potato. You can eat that at home. The German potatoes were delicious. Look at these pictures. Wowee. This was a meal shared by my husband I. The steak was divine, sliced like butter and melts into you pallet that temps you to over eat. Another A . We were able to get two additional meals with our left overs because the portions are large. Take the rolls home and make a steak sandwich. Bonus!! Buy their BBQ sauce. It was only $5.00 a bottle. We bought two bottles. Wish we bought more. The service was excellent. We loved the congeniality of our server. Not just serving food but created a culture of feeling like a local, like we were his good friends that stopped in. His direction and knowledge on what to order was A in both service and the choices we made. The atmosphere brings the history in the decor. Cafe pub style. Historical additions that the original owners designed.
One of the best steakhouses we have ever been!!! The spinach is so creamy and the steak is fantastic! The steak is a bit crispy on the outside and very tender on the inside. It is definitely to die for! You just want to eat and not stop. Highly recommend!
Portions are family style and huge so I def suggest getting less than you think you need. The bread and butter were cold when brought to our table (but it’s a steak restaurant so although I was disappointed I wasn’t too put off). The steak was soft and juicy. The salmon was surprisingly delicious for a steak spot. My favorite of the night was the lamb chops. It was more flavorful than the steak in my opinion. Drinks were a little pricey but good. Also you HAVE TO TRY THE THICK CUT BACON. It’s worth every dollar we ordered it twice
