The Chocolate Mousse Cake does come with the house whipped cream which was an unexpected bonus. The Single Steak, however, was very disappointing. It had a grainy texture and slightly weird aftertaste. I felt bad to throw it away because its a lot of meat but I couldnt eat it. In addition it was a very bland piece of meat that didnt seem seasoned at all let alone cooked professionally at Peter Luger. Perhaps this was an one off thing since all the previous reviews spoke very highly of the steaks.

The restaurant... read more A meal at Peter Luger was like taking a step back in time. From the first step in the door, you are transported to a moment in New York history. The restaurant has a very classic and rustic atmosphere to it, only juxtaposed against the diners sittingwithin. We had the sizzling bacon, single steak, Luger burger, and the german fried potatoes. The burger is a lunch only itemand the bacon and fried potatoes were great compliments but the star of the show lies in their dry aged steak. The porterhousewas packed with great beef flavor and is the quintessential item to order. Definitely enjoyed being able to experience a pieceof New York history.

Both the quality of food and standard of service is impeccable at this Michelin star rated restaurant. We enjoyed their assorted basket of bread for starters. Thecaesar salad here is the best I ever had. For the main course, we had the succulent bone-in rib eye steak that was cooked toperfection accompanied with German fried potatoes. The restaurant has their own homemade steak sauce that was delicious. Wecapped off our meal with an incredible cheesecake that's a must for dessert.
