Reviews summary

Nestled in the heart of the city, this restaurant presents a varied experience for diners. While some customers rave about the delicious, well-seasoned dishes and exceptional service, others find them lacking, particularly regarding portion sizes and value for money. Patrons have described disappointing burritos that skimp on ingredients yet carry hefty price tags. Nonetheless, the atmosphere is often highlighted as inviting, and friendly staff are a common theme in positive reviews. Overall, while some diners remain loyal fans, others are left questioning the establishment's consistency and worthiness in a city brimming with more affordable Mexican fare.

I absolutely love having our annual curl brunch at this place. The food, drinks, and atmosphere are all fantastic! Their stuffed avocados are simply amazing! I really adore this spot! View all feedback.

What BrightSideGuy dislikes about Paloma's:

Extremely over priced. A $16 steak burrito that's smaller than the many cheaper burritos around here, with so little guacamole and pico de gallo that I thought they had forgotten to put in in my takeout box. I called them up, and turns out the guac and pico de gallo was in the salad (I legitimately thought I had eaten a lettuce salad... it looked like their online photo minus the stuff on the top). They even forgot t... View all feedback.

The vibe. The food. The drinks. Everything is AMAZING!! I've been trying to find a good Mexican restaurant for months and this place did not disappoint. I had the steak fajita. The steak was seasoned. The rice was PERFECT. The peppers onions cooked to perfection. I LOVED it, one of the best fajitas I've had in a very long time. Definitely will be back to try EVERYTHING on the menu. Corn on the cob I could have ate 3 of them...AMAZING!!! Our waiter was very polite and answered all our questions. He checked on us without being over bearing (I hate that). I like to eat in peace and not have someone hovering over me. My new favorite spot.

Very disappointing. The food was really good. The meats were nice and tender. I was really excited to see this type of Mexican food in NY. However, super salty. Like why?! And the service was among the worst I’ve had in NY. Looked like it was the owner. But he looked like he had no soul left in him. Didn’t look at us, hardly spoke, was just BAD ENERGY.

Paloma’s was great when they first opened however after quarantine prices went way up and food is no longer hot and tasty. They now charge $7 for chips n salsa , tables are super sticky makes sitting there uncomfortable, Margaritas are bland, and the server is a bit excessive with the name calling “my sweet baby” “my lovely lady” “my beautiful lady at the corner of the table” just too much.I also asked for a side of avocado and they don’t do that unless it’s their full side of stuffed avocado.Avocado fries are nasty.

The atmosphere, the food, the drinks - everything is incredible!! I have been searching for a good Mexican restaurant for months and this place exceeded my expectations. I ordered the steak fajitas and they were delicious. The steak was perfectly seasoned, the rice was cooked to perfection, and the peppers and onions were cooked just right. It was one of the best fajitas I have had in a long time. I can't wait to come back and try everything on the menu. The corn on the cob was so good, I could have eaten three of them! Our waiter was very polite and answered all of our questions. He checked on us without being intrusive, which I appreciate. This is definitely my new favorite spot.

I've been a loyal patron of this restaurant for years, and it remains my favorite spot in NYC. I've tried almost everything on the menu and have never been disappointed; I even find myself dreaming about their food and sangria! The staff is always friendly and outstanding, and the prices are quite fair. I wholeheartedly give it 5 stars!

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this restaurant. I ordered food through Uber Eats and ended up discarding the entire order. To my dismay, I received two trays filled with greasy chicken fat and unappetizing chicken parts that were intended to be chicken fajitas. I find this level of disregard from a restaurant completely unacceptable; they should uphold basic standards for what is considered edible. I wasted $60 on this meal. Just look at the picture and see for yourself if that resembles a decent chicken fajita. This was truly a miserable experience, and I will not be returning to this restaurant. It was the worst food delivery I’ve ever had.

I had a wonderful dinner and enjoyed some fantastic margaritas. The Tacos al Pastor were the best I've had since visiting Mexico City. The highlight of the experience was the excellent service; the manager, Fernando, was incredibly welcoming and attentive. I will definitely be coming back!

Paloma's offers the most authentic Mexican cuisine we've found in Brooklyn. The bacon-wrapped peppers were incredible, and the enchilada tacos were absolutely delicious. This family-owned restaurant made us feel right at home during our entire visit. The guacamole and chips were freshly prepared. I highly recommend stopping by!

The portions are extremely healthy. I like to believe I have an endless appetite and I could not finish my chimichanga. I feel defeated.

I had dinner at Paloma's and the enchiladas were delicious, while the steak was fantastic. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere and the service was charming. I just love Paloma's and its menu!

I was disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The burrito I received was tiny for the price and, oddly enough, square — I’ve never encountered a square burrito before. Although they claimed to include everything, my burrito lacked onions, cilantro, and pico de gallo; it only had rice, beans, and chicken. For $15, that’s quite a letdown, especially since there were no beans or rice on the side. If it were a $7 burrito, I could overlook it, but at $15, that’s about the cost of an entrée at a decent restaurant. I also believe that you can really gauge a Mexican restaurant by its salsa, and unfortunately, there was nothing impressive here. No pico de gallo or chipotle, just a bland, watery salsa. Overall, my experience was truly underwhelming. The staff were nice, but the quality of the food definitely doesn’t match the high prices they charge.

I am very disappointed with the burritos' price. They measure just 3 inches by 3 inches and contain only rice, beans, and a bit of salad. The texture is tough and hard to chew. At $15, you could easily find a far superior burrito elsewhere. I can't understand how this place hasn't received a lower rating. Don't waste your money on a burrito here; you will not be satisfied.

Amazing rib-eye tacos entrée. And a really nice ceviche starter. I'm definitely looking forward to going back. It's a bit of a drive to get there but really worth it. Not too much of a choice when it comes to desserts but the rest of the menu was great!

This restaurant is extremely overpriced. I ordered a $16 steak burrito, which turned out to be smaller than other, less expensive burritos in the area. It came with hardly any guacamole and pico de gallo—so little that I first thought they had forgotten to include them in my takeout order. After calling the restaurant, I found out that the guacamole and pico de gallo were actually part of a separate side salad (which I wasn’t aware I had ordered). Additionally, the burrito was missing beans. While the service was friendly and the steak was of decent quality, the steep prices and absence of essential ingredients make it hard for me to consider returning to this place.

TACOS ARE WAY TOO SMALL/BASIC FOR THE PRICE. This place ain’t worth the money. There’s better Mexican food for cheaper in the area. Only used them because Seamless was offering me a deal or something but not ordering again.
