This is great neighborhood Indian food. 25 years ago, Joy Indian on Flatbush was excellent. Not sure what happened but we stopped ordering. So I’m glad to have a solid contender east of Vanderbilt. We enjoyed trying some of the things that I haven’t seen on other Indian restaurant menus in NYC. I’m not an expert at all but I LOVE food from all parts of Southwleast Asia and try it frequently. So I’m glad there’s a solid spot over here. I will definitely order again. Service: Takeaway Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Vegetarian menu or section
Deeee-licious and fresh vegetarian Indian food! Chana saag and baigan bhartha are the two dishes that I order on repeat. Aloo paratha is also amazing. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I had lunch at Nimbooda on a weekday because it is within walking distance of the Brooklyn Museum. The restaurant was empty except for my friend and me, so we were seated quickly and received very attentive and friendly service. We ordered the Cheese naan, Shrimp Curry, Goan Salmon, and Coconut Rice, all of which were delicious and cooked perfectly. The restaurant also offers WiFi.
Nimbooda turned out to be a pleasant surprise for us. We didn't have high expectations when we arrived, but we generally enjoy Indian food. The lamb biryani was delicious with tender meat and complimentary pickles. My companion also enjoyed her lamb roganjosh. Overall, if she's happy, then I'm happy too. So, there you have it – a great dining experience at Nimbooda.
