Next Door - Brooklyn
Next Door
Description
The Italian restaurant in Sheepshead Bay offers a beautiful ambiance with Christmas tree and candles for every table. However, the service and food fell short for some customers, with issues ranging from waiting staff ignoring tables to overpriced items. On the other hand, for many diners, the food at Next Door did not disappoint, with highlights such as grilled octopus and eggplant parm appetizer. The restaurant was praised for its great vibe, exceptional service, and selection of regional Italian wines. Some even called it a hidden gem in Brooklyn, with phenomenal food and a must-try Nutella pizza. Overall, while some customers experienced disappointments, others found the restaurant to exceed expectations and provide a great dining experience.

I had a great time at this restaurant. The food was delicious, the decor was decent, and the staff were very friendly.
Amazing food and phenomenal service. We were a bigger group of 8 guests with no reservation and they accommodated us without hesitation. The food was fresh and delicious, they have a variety of options and large selection of both Italian and Greek dishes. The service was efficient and the server was constantly checking on our table. You must order the Nutella pizza for desert. I highly recommend for you to check this place out if you haven’t already.
Lovely location with horrible food ridiculous prices. Came in on a very dead slow empty nite. 5 gentleman one lady. 2 of us own restaurants. Please do not advertise as an Italian restaurant 1 chef dining with us. The chicken marsala was actually the color of chocolate gross chicken cutlet was tough. My friend was sick after we left. 6 people at a table they kept bringing us 4 tiny pieces of bread small saucers of olive oil. Drinks overpriced. The Russian waiter could not pronunce the Italian names of the specials. (We are all native New Yorkers) so we know good food. Tiramisu delicious. Nice atomosphere but we dine out for the GOOD FOOD not candlelight. We were shocked at what was being presented as Italian food, don 't waste your , go to a genuine Italian restaurant. We are sucessful people, so the prices don 't scare us off if the food is great. We threw our leftovers outside in the pail on the corner. Why are you people so cold when customers enter your establishments?? Duh ...learn how to greet people!! Never going back!
The food was fantastic, although the mussels had a slightly aged taste. The atmosphere was really cozy, with beautiful glass windows offering a lovely view of Brighton—perfect for a date night. I was initially hesitant to try the tuna tartare, but it turned out to be absolutely incredible!
